Description

POSITION SUMMARY

A Registered Nurse is required for the Eating Disorders Program. The Registered Nurse will work on the Eating Disorders Inpatient unit and liaise with the Eating Disorders Day Program, and clinics as required. The successful candidate will be integral in assisting with individual, family and group clinical programming, which includes meal support and family-based interventions.

 

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

 

  •  Provide nursing assessments and interventions for patients within the Eating Disorders Program
  •  Provide psychoeducation to the patient, family and other health care providers regarding Eating Disorders.
  •  Participate in family and group clinical programming activities
  •  Offer clinical interventions and support, including intensive meal support, to patients and their families
  •  Support teaching and research activities
  •  Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and discharge planning

 


QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
  •  Current Certification of competence, College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential)
  •  Current CPR Certification (Essential)
  •  B.Sc. Nursing (Preferred)
  •  Paediatric nursing experience (Preferred)
  •  Experience in paediatric mental health (Preferred)
  •  Excellent team work and interpersonal skills (Essential)
  •  Knowledge and experience in the area of Eating Disorders (Preferred)
  •  Strong interpersonal and team skills (Essential)
  •  Bilingual (English/ French) (Preferred)

RÉSUMÉ DES FONCTIONS

Le Programme des troubles de l’alimentation a besoin d’une infirmière autorisée ou d’un infirmier autorisé. Il ou elle travaillera au sein de l’unité des troubles de l’alimentation des patients hospitalisés et assurera la liaison avec le programme de jour des troubles de l’alimentation et les cliniques, le cas échéant. Le candidat ou la candidate retenu(e) participera activement à la programmation clinique individuelle, familiale et de groupe, qui comprend le soutien aux repas et les interventions basées sur la famille.

 

DESCRIPTION DU TRAVAIL

  •  Fournir des évaluations et des interventions en soins infirmiers pour les patients dans le cadre du Programme des troubles de l’alimentation.
  •  Fournir une psychoéducation au patient, à la famille et aux autres fournisseurs de soins de santé concernant les troubles de l’alimentation.
  •  Participer à des activités de programmation clinique en famille et en groupe.
  •  Offrir des interventions et un soutien cliniques, y compris un soutien actif pour les repas, aux patients et à leurs familles.
  •  Soutenir les activités d’enseignement et de recherche.
  •  Participer à la planification des soins multidisciplinaires et à la planification des congés.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Vérification des antécédents en vue d’un travail auprès de personnes vulnérables (Essentiel)
  •  Certificat de compétence en règle de l’Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers de l’Ontario (Essentiel)
  •  Certificat valide de RCR (Essentiel)
  •  B. Sc. en sciences infirmières (Préférable)
  •  Expérience des soins infirmiers en milieu pédiatrique (Préférable)
  •  Expérience dans le domaine de la santé mentale pédiatrique (Préférable)
  •  Excellent entregent et bon esprit d’équipe (Essentiel)
  •  Connaissance et expérience du domaine des troubles de l’alimentation (Préférable)
  •  Solide entregent et capacités de travail en équipe (Essentiel)
  •  Bilinguisme (français et anglais) (Préférable)
